The past year has seen us work on – and be recognised for – some terrific campaigns. Here are just a few of them. Our thanks, as always, go to our clients, for their trust and support, and our 1440 colleagues, who make everything happen.
Award-winning content campaigners

We were thrilled when we won CorpComms Magazine’s award for the best use of content for 2023.
We developed a news magazine webcast to help a leading global consultancy engage directly with UK C-level audiences. As CorpComms put it, “The judges were impressed by the strategy behind this campaign, and by the depth and quality of each episode’s content.” You can read more on our blog, or watch Tomorrow Today for yourself.
Sparking a global hunt for “social unicorns” with LSE

Working with 100x Impact Accelerator, based at the London School of Economics, we launched a hunt for “Social Unicorns” – social enterprises with the potential to benefit millions of people.
Forbes, Next Billion, and Pioneers Post covered the story amongst others – and over 1,300 ventures from over 90 countries signed up (against a target of 1,000).
Helping UK SMEs overcome digital drag – Xero

Xero, the small business platform, continued to make compelling contributions to the long-running debate about UK business productivity. Beating the “digital drag” found that the very smallest businesses, with up to 9 employees, could generate over £77bn in extra revenue, if they adopted more sophisticated technology.
When retailers are defrauded by their own customers

Most people think that online fraud is the sole domain of criminal gangs. But a survey of consumers in the UK, France, and Germany we developed for ecommerce fraud management platform Ravelin found that some 40% of customers have tried ripping off retailers themselves.
BBC Radio 4, This is Money, and City AM covered the story. What’s more, Ravelin’s organic web traffic doubled the day we launched the campaign.
Promoting a new category of permanent equity

Europe has an unsung tech sector of some 25,000 small software companies. Upliift’s goal is to help these firms achieve their potential with very long-term, patient equity investments. These allow founders to make a partial or complete exit, while ensuring their business continues to thrive.
We’re working with its team to help explain its unique investment approach to software founders across Europe, and support deal flow.
And, finally… 1440’s first published author

Most of our work happens in the shadows. So it was momentous when our colleague Gareth Streeter published his first book, a biography of Arthur, Prince of Wales, whose death as a teenager paved the way for Henry VIII. Gareth writes about his journey from hobbyist historian to published author on our blog.
It isn’t too late to buy the Henry VIII’s lost brother: Arthur Prince of Wales for the history fans in your life this Christmas.
We wish our readers a very happy and restful Christmas, and a prosperous new year. If you’d like to find out more about the campaigns we mention here, or learn more about what we do, please drop us a line.
